Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager
Job Purpose
Assistant Manager – Marketing Operations & Communications supports the successful execution and quality delivery of marketing and communication initiatives across the company. This role is responsible for quality assurance and review of marketing deliverables, event planning and execution, budget preparation and monitoring, and maintaining operational excellence across Marcom’s activities.
The role works closely with the Marketing and Communication Strategy Manager to ensure all outputs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company standards, brand expectations, and business priorities.
Job Description
Marketing Quality Assurance & Communications Review
• Conduct quality assurance reviews for all marketing and communication deliverables prior to publication or execution.
• Review marketing materials, event scripts, speeches, presentations, announcements, and campaign assets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.
• Perform quality checks on content, design, messaging, formatting, and execution of readiness.
• Coordinate revisions and manage stakeholder feedback to maintain high-quality outputs.
• Maintain quality standards, templates, and governance across Marcoms activities.
• Escalate quality concerns and promote consistency across internal and external communications.
Marketing Operations & Review Coordination
• Coordinate execution timelines for campaigns and marketing initiatives across internal and external stakeholders.
• Track project progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Manage review cycles, approvals, and status reporting across departments.
• Support continuous improvement of marketing SOPs and workflow governance.
• Maintain accurate records of approvals, project files, and marketing documentation.
Event Planning & Execution
• Coordinate end-to-end planning and execution of internal and external events including launches, seminars, roadshows, conferences, employee engagement, and customer events.
• Prepare event timelines, run sheets, briefing materials, and execution plans.
• Coordinate vendors, procurement, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
• Monitor event readiness and resolve operational issues proactively.
• Manage event logistics, venue coordination, and post-event reporting.
• Ensure compliance with event SOPs and governance requirements.
Marketing Budget Preparation, Procurement & Monitoring
• Support preparation and monitoring of annual and quarterly Customer Experience and Marcoms budgets with respective section heads.
• Monitor budget utilization and manage project expenses through SAP to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate procurement activities including quotations, sourcing, and vendor engagement for marketing initiatives, events, and collaterals.
• Prepare procurement documentation and present Marcoms requests at Procurement Committee (PTC) meetings.
• Coordinate with Finance and Procurement to ensure timely purchasing, invoice verification, payment processing, and budget reconciliation.
• Support vendor evaluation and quotation comparison to ensure quality and value for money.
Marketing Administration, Collateral Management & Coordination
• Manage marketing calendars, trackers, approvals, and operational documentation.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing, inventory, allocation, and distribution of marketing collaterals across Head Office and Branches.
• Maintain inventory records for marketing materials, promotional items, branded merchandise, and event assets.
• Coordinate production timelines to ensure materials are delivered according to campaign and event schedules.
• Monitor collateral utilization and recommend replenishment plans where necessary.
• Manage seasonal gifts, corporate gifts, and branded merchandise preparation and distribution.
• Ensure administrative accuracy and compliance for procurement, inventory, and collateral management processes.
Job Requirements

- Ability to prepare accurate reports, presentations, and business-related data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Good teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with internal departments
- Ability to work under pressure with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
