Assistant Sales Manager
Job Purpose
To drive sales engagement and initiation within the Travel Channel to achieve targeted GWP.This role acts as a key link for customer communication, all of the sale initiative and activities and to get new business.
Job Description
Sales Coordination & Business Development
- Coordinate daily sales activities for Travel Insurance and other Insurance products.
- Support sales representatives in preparing quotations, proposals, renewals, and customer presentations.
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities and achieving departmental sales targets.
- Work closely with underwriting, operations, survey, claims, and customer service teams to ensure smooth processing of insurance applications.
- Monitor outstanding quotations and follow up to improve conversion rates.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, lead databases, renewal trackers, and performance reports.
- Provide product knowledge, sales guidance, and technical support to sales representatives.
- Support sales activities at Travel Channel branches, travel agencies, tour operators, and other partner locations.
- Assist the Sr. Manager in planning sales campaigns, branch support, and business development initiatives.
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned sale accounts, ensuring timely communication and effective resolution of operational matters.
Product Knowledge and Retails Partner Support
- Deliver professional product presentations and training sessions to travel and related partners to enhance their product knowledge and selling capabilities.
- Provide continuous support to retails partners by responding promptly to product-related inquiries and operational issues.
- Promote awareness of new products, destinations, seasonal offers, and service enhancements.
- Gather feedback from partners regarding market demands and customer preferences to support continuous product improvement.
Customer Communication
- Contact customers to collect required documents and confirm details for policy issuance.
- Respond to inquiries regarding product information, premium amounts, payment status, and policy updates.
- Follow up with customers on renewals, outstanding documents, or pending premium payments.
- Manage escalated cases and resolve service-related issues professionally and efficiently.
- Assist in explaining products and processes to new and existing customers.
- Maintain professional and effective communication with corporate and individual clients.
Team Supervision & Workflow Support
- Provide guidance to sales staff on documentation, customer communication, and data entry procedures.
- Support the sales team in resolving system operation issues and reporting delays.
- Follow up on required document collection and ensure timely submission.
- Review and submit motor and fire insurance quotations and policy issuance for both new and renewal cases.
- Ensure accuracy in customer information, premium calculations, coverage details, and overall policy issuance
Job Requirements
- Any Bachelor’s degree .
- 5 years of relevant sales experience in insurance, banking, or a related industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both corporate and individual customers.
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to handle customer and partner inquiries professionally.
- Good relationship management and stakeholder management skills.
- Good problem-solving and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Ability to guide and support sales staff and coordinate effectively with internal teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and handle escalated customer or operational issues professionally.
- Fluent in Myanmar and English, with good written and verbal communication skills.
