Revenue Cashier – Associate
Job Purpose
Insurance cashiers play a pivotal role in evaluating potential financial losses and the likelihood of such events occurring. Their expertise in this area is crucial for setting insurance product prices accurately and maintaining adequate reserves.
Job Description
- Greet customers warmly and provide prompt service.
- Assist customers with general inquiries and basic product questions.
- Answer questions regarding payment methods and transaction procedures.
- Resolve straightforward customer issues or refer complex ones to Senior.
- Accurately process sales using a cash register or other equipment.
- Ensure collection and bank-in are correct, maintaining attention to detail.
- Accept various payment forms, including cash and credit cards, following company protocols.
- Issue receipts for all payments received.
- Apply promotions and discounts as instructed.
- Stay updated on store promotions and product offerings.
- Handle returns and exchanges as directed by company policy.
- Reconcile cash drawer at the end of shifts.
- Maintain transaction records for daily sales activity.
- Keep the cashier area clean and well-organized.
- Display professionalism and integrity, handling customer interactions and transactions respectfully.
Job Requirements
- Graduated, LCCI level 1 &2
- Minimum of one to two years’ experience in a cash handling or financial role, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Basic mathematical knowledge and Microsoft 365, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Office applications
- Familiarity with finance software,
- Attention to detail
- Some experience dealing with money preferable
- Ability to operate relevant electronic equipment -can be trained on the job
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership position is a plus
- Product knowledge- can be trained on the job
