Terms and Conditions
1.Insurable Person
Anyone between 18 to 60 years old is eligible for insurance coverage.
2.Calculating age
For purposes of calculating the age of the Insured, the Insured’s age will be reckoned from the Insured’s upcoming birthday. For example, if the Insured is 17 when he/she is covered by this insurance, for purposes of this insurance policy the Insured’s age will be his/her age on his/her upcoming birthday (i.e. 18). In other words, age calculation is based on upcoming birthday age. The customer’s upcoming birthday age is defined as insurance coverage issue age. For example – if the age is above 17 then the upcoming birthday age is “18” and age “18” will be defined as insurance coverage issue age and if the age is above 59 then the upcoming birthday age is “60” and age “60” will be defined as insurance coverage issue age.
Notice – The insurance coverage will only be valid until 12 AM on the day the insured person turns 60 years old. If customer’s age is 60 then upcoming birthday age will be “61”, this customer is not eligible for insurance coverage.
3.Period of insurance
It is 15 days period starting from the date of data purchase.
4.Place of coverage
Insurance only provides micro health coverage in case of hospitalization or death within the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
5.Termination
- Insurance coverage will terminate after the period of insurance.
- After the insurance company has compensated death benefit, insurance coverage will be
- terminated.
6.Beneficiary
- Beneficiary form link will be provided. Insured will need to nominate a person as beneficiary.
- Insured can nominate a beneficiary more than once, but the latest nominated beneficiary will be the eligible person to get the claims.
- For hospitalization coverage, the benefit can be claimed by the insured/beneficiary.
- For death coverage when the insured passed away, the death benefit can be claimed by his/her beneficiary.
- If the nominated beneficiary will not be able to claim the insurance coverage, the insurance
- coverage can be claimed by the heirs of the insured according to Myanmar law of inheritance.
7.Doctor and Hospital
- The doctor who sees the insured must hold a medical license and certified to practice medicine by the Myanmar Ministry of Health.
- The hospital in which the insured seeks treatment must be legally accredited and licensed by the Myanmar Ministry of Health.
8.Micro Health Insurance Benefits
- Death coverage – when the insured passes away because of accident or disease within the insurance period.
- In case of hospitalization to get treatment for diseases or injuries caused by any unexpected accident within the insurance period, the insured/beneficiary is permitted to claim the hospitalization benefit starting from day 3 of the hospitalization. For example if you buy the package on August 1, and you are admitted to hospital on August 6, then you can start claiming benefit from August 8 (i.e. you need to stay in hospital for at least 2 days).
- Insurance does not cover medical checkup at any hospital according to the will of the insured; this insurance benefit is meant only for medical treatment at the hospital.
- In calculating hospitalizing days, not only starting date of hospitalization but also discharge date will be calculated as one day.
9.Exclusion of Benefits
This insurance does not cover injuries, diseases, surgery, hospitalization, or death which is directly or indirectly related to the following conditions;
- Medical treatment that started prior to start of the insurance or medical treatment that was approved by a medical doctor prior to start of the insurance based on prior disease symptom.
- Delivery, miscarriage, surgery and hospitalization due to pregnancy.
- Hospitalizing and undergoing operation for getting children purpose
- Outpatient treatments
- Medical check-up and hospitalized for taking rest purpose
- Dental treatments apart from accidental injuries
- Eye treatments apart from accidental injuries
- For beauty purpose/ cosmetic/plastic surgery
- Hearing treatment
- Physical defects or infirmity
- Drug abuse
- Psychosis, mental disorders
- Medical treatments to injury or diseases caused by committing crimes
- AIDS/HIV
- Losses, damages which are supported, based on and arisen from near or far distance, directly or indirectly caused by strikes, riots, civil commotions, war and transformation of war (hostilities, wage war, military or coup)
- Suicide or hurting oneself
- Fraudulent claims
