BCGE – Business Coalition for Gender Equality
Business Coalition for Gender Equality (BCGE) Association, is a non-profit association, as well as a coalition of companies committed to promoting gender equality, diversity, equity, and inclusion, practices in the workplaces in Myanmar.
As a leading member of the BCGE, KBZMS has dedicated itself to achieving equitable and inclusive workplaces through organizational growth and global sustainable development goals through workplace gender equality, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Since May 2019, KBZMS hold EDGE Certificate, which is the first insurance company among EDGE Certified business in Myanmar. With the mission of improving Myanmar people’s life through insurance, KBZMS strongly committed to investing in women, creating gender equality workplace, shaping our organization toward a culture of diversity and inclusion.
In order to promote the best practices for a family-friendly initiative in workplace and gender-inclusive workplace culture, KBZMS won the project of the mothers’ room program among the BCGE applicants from BCGE member firms. This initiative is for recently working mothers in KBZMS by providing sanitary and safe breastfeeding equipment, training on the advantages of breastfeeding for business in collaboration with Alive & Thrive, and dedication to creating family-friendly work environments.
KBZMS General Insurance is dedicated to providing a secure and enjoyable work environment for all of its employees that is free from discrimination, any basis, and harassment at work including sexual harassment. Hence, the company is operating a zero-tolerance policy for any forms of discrimination, bullying, harassment including sexual harassment whether it takes place within KBZMS General Insurance premises or outside, including at a social event, business trips, training sessions or conferences sponsored by KBZMS General Insurance.
