Area Business Manager
Job Purpose
The Area Business Manager (ABM) is responsible for driving sales performance and market penetration within designated segments. This role involves leading and developing the Sales Management Team and Business Insurance Specialists (BIS) to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory compliance. The ABM will collaborate with managers and Heads of Departments (HODs) to develop and implement strategic sales initiatives and long-term business strategies. Additionally, the ABM will identify growth opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to senior management. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.
Job Description
- Ensure achievement of sales targets, optimal market coverage, and market penetration in specified segments.
- Lead and manage the Sales Management Team and Business Insurance Specialists, providing ongoing coaching and development to better manage their sales teams.
- Ensure sales behavior, ethics, and practices comply with company standards and regulations.
- Identify development opportunities within the country and make strategic recommendations to the Head of Bancassurance.
- Collaborate with respective managers and HODs to develop strategic sales initiatives, formulate medium-term business direction, long-term business success, product strategies, and distribution synergies.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of company policies, procedures, sales processes, and organization.
- Disseminate relevant knowledge to regional teams appropriately.
Job Requirements
- Any Bachelor’s degree, with a diploma in sales and marketing or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, Bancassurance, with relevant industry experience [such as Regional Managers, Branch Managers, Cluster Managers]
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with strong presentation abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in analytical, strategic thinking, and planning skills for sales implementation.
