BI Analyst
Job Purpose
This role is responsible for collecting, transforming, and analyzing data to deliver insightful dashboards, reports, and recommendations that support decision-making across the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Job Description
- Engage with business users to capture data collection/analytics/reporting requirements.
- Translate complex business needs into clear technical specifications for end-to-end BI solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Perform data quality audits, identify data collection issues and suggest/implement fixes.
- Suggest and implement data quality improvements and validation rules.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and standard reports.
- Able to write complex SQL including multi-table joins, grouping and aggregation, common table expressions, and conditional filters.
- Ensure all reports/dashboards are accurate, timely, consistent, and aligned with business definitions.
- Backup and consolidate data from various sources into a data lake on daily/monthly/quarterly cycles.
- Assist new users and business partners with onboarding, troubleshooting, training, and orientation
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science and data science or any graduate with equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience as a data analyst or similar roles, with strong analytical skills, capable of data analysis, trends identification, and result reporting.
- Advanced skills and practical experience using analysis software, such as MS Power BI (preferred)/Tableau/ Google Analytics/ Excel.
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and delivery.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across various teams.
