Head of Strategic Partnerships

Job Purpose

The Head of Strategic Partnerships will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by developing, managing, and expanding strategic partnerships. This position involves strategic planning, product innovation, and partnership management to achieve sales and business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in business development, strong analytical skills, and the ability to foster and maintain relationships with key partners. They will also collaborate across departments to align strategic goals and deliver exceptional outcomes.

Job Description

  1. Strategic Planning
    • Lead the development of strategic goals for the Strategic Partnerships channel.
    • Oversee the implementation of annual strategic business plans, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
    • Conduct market, customer, and competitor analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and adjust as necessary.
    • Collaborate with the Product team to ensure products align with the needs of the Strategic Partnerships channel.
    • Develop a pipeline of new strategic partnership opportunities.
    • Analyze partner customer bases and provide actionable recommendations to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Prepare detailed business cases for potential new partnerships.
    Delivering the Right Products and Achieving Sales Targets
    • Monitor and manage sales performance, providing timely insights and implementing adjustments to achieve optimal outcomes.
    • Drive product innovation and growth within the Strategic Partnerships channel to support overall business goals.
    • Collaborate with the Products department to develop and manage a product roadmap that aligns with business strategies.
    Partnership Management
    • Analyze partner customer bases to identify action plans and forecast expected outcomes.
    • Prepare comprehensive business cases for onboarding new strategic partners.
    • Support sales efforts by ensuring the delivery of suitable products and achieving sales targets.
    • Facilitate the growth of partnerships by driving product innovations that cater to partner needs and broader business objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in business development, preferably in insurance or related fields.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Specialized Skills: Experience in product and proposition design for strategic channels.
  • Familiarity with reviewing NDAs and contractual agreements for partner onboarding.
  • Proficient in developing business cases with a focus on achieving commercial outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills for strategic planning and decision-making.
    Competencies:
  • Strong business networking and stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in Myanmar and English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with precision and efficiency.
  • Skilled in facilitating discussions among diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly MS PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge of project management software is a plus.
