Area Business Manager
Job Purpose
The Area Business Manager is responsible for driving insurance sales performance across the assigned area by planning, executing, and monitoring area-level business strategies while strengthening partnerships with regional banking stakeholders. The role leads, coaches, and develops sales teams to deliver compliant, high-quality business, enhance customer experience through strong advisory standards, and improve productivity through digital adoption and process efficiency. The Area Business Manager also represents the company at the area level, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, governance requirements, and sustainable growth targets.
Job Description
Partner Relationship & Business Development
· Liaise closely with partner banks to execute agreed business plans and sales initiatives.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with Consumer Banking Management Teams and branch staff.
· Collaborate with partner bank PICs to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
· Represent the company professionally to strengthen long-term partnerships and drive business growth.
Sales Performance Management
· Manage and support assigned sales staff to achieve area production targets across branches.
· Monitor team and branch-level sales performance, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
· Participate in discussions and initiatives to drive portfolio growth, including new business, RCs, and loan drop-offs.
Customer Engagement & Sales Execution
· Follow up with potential customers, arrange appointments, and deliver product presentations aligned with customer needs.
· Attend meetings with BIS and partner banks to support sales conversion.
· Ensure high-quality advisory and customer engagement standards.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
· Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely execution of tasks.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support business operations.
Data Management & Reporting
· Maintain accurate and timely sales records, including daily updates of sales tracking data. · Monitor RC records, loan drop-off cases, and lead pipelines with regular status updates.
· Track lead generation and conversion, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
· Provide regular reports, insights, and performance updates to management.
Meetings & Performance Review
· Attend and actively participate in sales meetings, regional reviews, and partner banca discussions.
· Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, set priorities, and align action plans.
Training & Development
· Participate in product training and development programs organized by the company.
· Continuously enhance product knowledge and sales capabilities
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, with strong practical experience in bancassurance or financial services.
· Postgraduate qualification (MBA or Master’s) and relevant professional certifications are an advantage but not mandatory if performance and leadership track record are strong.
· Minimum 6 years of experience in bancassurance, insurance, or financial services, with direct exposure to bank-led distribution models and partner management.
· At least 2–3 years of proven experience leading sales teams and managing performance across multiple branches or an area-level portfolio.
· Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver area or portfolio-level sales targets while building and sustaining effective relationships with bank management and key stakeholders.
