Claims Surveyor
Job Purpose
- The purpose of this role is to ensure efficient, accurate, and customer-focused handling of motor accident claims by conducting timely accident surveys, guiding customers through the claims process, and coordinating with relevant parties such as call centers, workshops, authorities, and internal claims teams. The Claim-Survey Associate is responsible for gathering essential information, verifying damages, collecting required documents, and preparing complete claim files to support fair and reliable claim decisions. This role plays a critical part in delivering responsive claims service, maintaining operational efficiency, and upholding the company’s service and compliance standards.
Job Description
- Handles incoming motor claim information from Call Center promptly and communicates clearly with customers 24/7.
- Conducts on-site motor accident surveys efficiently, documenting facts, damages, and evidence accurately to support fair claim assessment.
- Explains the claims procedure to customers in an easy-to-understand manner and ensures that all required documents are collected completely and correctly.
- Identifies complex or unclear cases and escalates to the Manager when necessary, demonstrating sound judgment and responsible decision-making.
- Communicates effectively with traffic police and relevant authorities when required.
- Collaborates with authorized workshops to verify repair estimates and ensure the accuracy and fairness of repair costs.
- Prepares claim-related documents accurately and transfers them to claim handlers in a timely.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred. (OR) Candidates with any bachelor’s degree may also be considered if they have a minimum of one year of working experience in a mechanical-related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a related field (e.g., motor claims, mechanical, or automotive).
- Strong working knowledge of Email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic English speaking and writing skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to listen attentively, build rapport, and handle sensitive.
- Highly adaptable and responds positively to change.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Recognizes potential in others and contributes to improving workforce quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Mature, patient, and empathetic in interactions with customers and colleagues.
