Data Miner
Job Purpose
The primary mission of this role is to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful data reporting to support business decision-making. Key responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and updating Power BI reports to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
• Conducting data mining from various internal and external data sources to extract meaningful insights.
• Preparing ad hoc reports as required to meet operational and strategic needs.
Job Description
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions.
- Perform data quality audits, identify data collection issues and suggest/implement fixes.
- Backup data from different data sources to a data lake on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Design and implement BI solutions, including dashboards and reports, utilizing Power BI to enhance business decision-making processes.
- Maintain and update data dashboards on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis
- Manage delivery of dashboards and reports to executives and other stakeholders in the company, ensuring they meet deadlines and standards and ensure data provided in reports and dashboards is highly accurate and reliable.
- Perform any other related ad hoc reports requested by internal departments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science and data science or any graduate with equivalent experience.
- Demonstrates proven working experience as a data analyst or similar roles, with strong analytical skills, capable of data analysis, trends identification, and result reporting.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Excel, SQL, Python and DAX
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI
- Experience with Cloud services: AWS will be an added advantage.
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and delivery.
