Fire Underwriting Assoicate
Job Purpose
Perform day-to-day fire underwriting operations, including document review, risk assessment, premium calculation, debit note preparation, and coordination with sales channels, branches, and survey teams. Ensure accurate data entry, compliance, and timely processing of new, renewal, endorsement, and cancellation cases.
Job Description
• Review submitted documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance; achieve ≥90% documentation completeness and ≥90% case completion within agreed TAT.
• Underwrite risks for new, renewal, endorsement, and cancellation cases according to underwriting manuals and internal/reinsurance requirements, maintaining ≥90% accuracy.
• Request survey reports for unclear or insufficient documentation and ensure 100% follow-up.
• Enter and verify risk data in BaNCs, TCS, or related systems with ≥90% accuracy.
• Calculate premiums for new and endorsement cases, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Submit premium calculations per Delegation of Authority (DOA) and issue debit notes on time.
• Coordinate with internal teams and sales channels to collect required insurance information and support technical clarifications.
• Perform manual premium calculations when systems cannot generate results.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Manager/Senior Manager.
Job Requirements
• Fresh graduates, or candidates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills for coordination within the team and internal departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to learn underwriting systems and processes.
• Proficient in English for written communication and reporting.
